Vitamin D Clinic
Vitamin D testing and advice, with supplementation guidance based on your result.
Vitamin D deficiency is common in the UK, especially over winter, and it is easy to miss: tiredness, low mood, aches, and getting every bug going are all put down to other things. Many people take tablets and still feel flat, because oral absorption varies. Our clinic tests your level on the spot and, where you are deficient, corrects it with a course of injections.
The clinic is run in partnership with Get A Drip.
How it works
- A finger-prick test at the pharmacy in Harrow measures your vitamin D level, with the result in about fifteen minutes.
- A prescribing pharmacist reviews it with you, checks for anything that would affect treatment, and recommends a plan.
- If you are deficient, a course of vitamin D3 injections — one every two weeks for three months, seven in total — delivers the full dose directly, bypassing the limits of tablets.
- Maintenance afterwards if needed, to keep your level where it should be.
Who it is for
Anyone who suspects their level is low, has been told it is, or takes supplements without feeling the benefit. It suits people who want a medically led, measured approach rather than guessing at a dose.
Appointments
The clinic runs on alternate Thursdays and appointments are short. Because the injection course is fortnightly, slots fill quickly — book early.
What it costs
This is a private service. The test and each injection are priced separately, and the pharmacist will confirm the cost of the full course before you start.
