Private Prescriptions

A private prescription is one you pay for in full — written by a private GP, a specialist, a travel clinic, or one of our own prescribers. We can dispense it, and we can also arrange the consultation that produces it.

Two ways to use this

You already have a prescription

Send us the details and a pharmacist will price it before you commit — private prices vary a great deal between medicines and we would rather tell you first. Once you are happy, you send us the prescription, we dispense it and deliver it free. Start on our private prescription enquiry page.

You need a prescription

Book a consultation with one of our prescribers or partner GPs. If a prescription is appropriate it is issued, priced, dispensed and delivered — all from the one booking. See private GP services.

How it works

1. You tell us what you need, or consult with a prescriber.
2. A pharmacist reviews it and confirms the price and availability.
3. You confirm. Nothing is charged or dispensed until you do.
4. We dispense and deliver to your door, free of charge.

Good to know

• There is no NHS charge on a private prescription — you pay the price of the medicine plus any dispensing fee, which we state up front.
• Some medicines cannot be sent by post and must be collected; we will tell you if that applies.
• If the same medicine is available to you on the NHS, we will say so.
