Care Home Services
Medicines supply and support for care homes across Harrow and the surrounding area.
We have supplied nursing and residential homes for over ten years — from 7-bed homes to 120-bed establishments — through a dedicated care home team of pharmacists, technicians and dispensers. Every home is different, so the service is built around each one rather than sold as a package.
What we provide
- Scheduled dispensing and delivery, with medicines supplied in monitored dosage systems where required.
- Medicines administration records prepared and kept up to date.
- A named pharmacist for clinical queries, medication reviews and liaison with GPs.
- Collection and safe disposal of unwanted medicines.
- Support with CQC inspection readiness on medicines management.
Our service and training are aligned with Care Quality Commission and General Pharmaceutical Council guidance, so that homes we supply are supported in meeting the standards they are inspected against.
Training for care staff
Alongside the supply service we offer an NPA-accredited medicines training package for carers and care organisations, covering safe handling, administration and record-keeping. Contact us for details.
Care at home
For people supported in their own homes — through a care agency or by family — we can supply medicines in compliance aids such as dosette boxes, delivered on a regular schedule. Nominate us as the delivery pharmacy and we will take it from there. We work with regional care agencies including Home Instead.
